London Brunch Guide: Burnt Toast
Great location, happy vibes and the best French Toast I've ever had. A review of one of Brixton's hidden gems.
London is one of the best cities in the world when it comes to brunch spots.
There is something for everyone. Meat lovers, avo-obsessed, vegans.
New places are opening every other week, and it's hard to keep up with the list of cafes and restaurants I would like to try out.
I made it one of my resolutions this year to explore more of the city and don't restrict myself to what I know or have already tried and started with a local gem in the heart of Brixton.
Burnt Toast is a small joint in the lively Brixton Village. Few tables outside, blankets for those cold winter days and a whole menu of delicious food to choose from.
The limited number of seats ensure that each dish is prepared with care and trust me, you can taste the difference.
Everything we tried was incredibly flavourful and delicious and, most importantly, served with a smile. The French Toast was out of this world and without a doubt one of the best I've ever had (even though Carol, the manager, says her mum's recipe is even better. I'm still here waiting for my invite to your house Carol!).
I also love that you can make your own toasts with the toasters near the windows and help yourself to all the different sauces and spreads.
This little cafe' lived up to my expectations and I couldn't be happier to have it as part of my local options!
See you soon Burnt Toast!🍞
DISCLAIMER: The queue might get long, but your patience will be rewarded with one of the most delicious and happy brunches you will ever have in London.
You can find Burnt Toast in Brixton Village (SW8 8PS) or give them a follow on Instagram for mouthwatering photos.
