I Lost My Heart in Loveland Farm

I had the opportunity to pay a visit to Loveland Farm, in North Devon, and it was one of the best weekends I've ever spent since moving to England.

The view from our pod!

I've always said that I'm in love with my life in London. I love the hustle, the business, the constant interaction with people.

However, I've grown to miss nature, the silence, the peace I feel when wondering around my beautiful Tuscan hills. I miss admiring the miracle of nature and embracing it with all my senses.

That's why I couldn’t but jump at the opportunity, offered by Hype App, to visit Loveland Farm.

“It is neither wealth nor splendor, but tranquility and occupation which give you happiness.” Thomas Jefferson

This incredible place hides on the coast of Devonshire, at the ‘boarder’ with north Cornwall.

An eco-retreat that accommodates everyone’s needs, from families with children to lovebirds couples (like me and Ben).

A campsite with a difference, with an incredible attention to sustainability (their carbon footprint being one of the lowest in the hospitality industry in the UK), and encouragement to live life in a simpler way.

The pods are incredible work of art and design. Super comfy beds, fireplace for those colder autumn and winter nights as well as a good sized kitchen if you preferred to cook your own meals instead of exploring the nearby villages (super cute and worth a visit). There is even a full working wi-fi in case you have to check your emails.

The Popla Pod we stayed in.

Sheep, Water buffaloes and piglets will keep you company while at the farm and amazing views (including breathtaking star gazing if you are lucky enough to have clear nights) will make your jaw drop.

The piggies kept us company during our stay!

Karina and Joseph are the perfect hosts and will give you plenty of suggestions on places to visit and things to do. They even gave me one of their homegrown pumpkins as a parting gifts!

Spending three days in complete nature, eating local produce and breathing the sea air made me feel so re-charged and ready to face the day to day routine that my only regret was how long we stayed at the farm, could have easily spent another week there!

I'm sure I'll be back soon enough, in the meanwhile, I'll keep enjoying pictures of those great skies.

Interesting in staying at the farm and need more info? You can visit their website or their Instagram page.

If you decide to book, let me know! I'd love to hear about your experience!
